To meet the minimum academic threshold for entry into the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree at the University of Adelaide you must achieve a Selection Rank (ATAR plus any applicable adjustment factors) of 90 or above,

The International Baccalaureate score
OR
The interstate/ overseas equivalent. Grade Point Average (GPA): 5.0 or above – only applicable for University of Adelaide Higher Education applicants.
SACE Stage 2: Biology or Chemistry or Mathematical Methods
OR
IB: Biology (SL grade 4/HL grade 3) or Chemistry (SL grade 4/HL grade 3) or Mathematics: Applications and Interpretations (HL) or Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (SL)
OR
Equivalent (i.e. 1st year Human Anatomy and Physiology IA/B as part of the Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences program)

A minimum of 10 places from the Higher Education quota will be allocated to applicants from the Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences and Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences (Advanced).
Your only tertiary record of study must be from the University of Adelaide. You cannot have a tertiary record from any other Australian or overseas university

A minimum of 40 places in the Adelaide medical program are reserved for students who come from rural backgrounds.
At least five consecutive years, or 10 years cumulatively, in an Australian
Standard Geographic Classification - Remoteness Areas (ASGS 2016) RA 2-5 area, since birth.
Secondary School Leaver
Not permitted to have a tertiary academic record of study from a university. This does not include accelerated study in Year 12, such as the HeadStart program or Foundation Studies programs
