Did You Know?

Did you know that a number of students are unaware of how to apply to medical schools in Australia and how the preferencing system works? MedView has strategists that guide students through the whole application process and helps them find loopholes to ensure that they successfully gain admissions into their dream medical schools.

Rural Entry Scheme

The Rural Entry Scheme (RES) was first introduced in 1997 and runs alongside the local entry application process. In 2023, RES applicants made up at least 29% of UNSW medicine domestic intake.

To be eligible for the RES, applicants must be an Australian/New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident that has lived in a defined Australian rural area, MMM 2 - 7 (Modified Monash Model classification system) for at least five consecutive or ten cumulative years between the ages of five (5) and eighteen (18).

More information about RES can be found here.
