A MedView student success story

In the 2021 admissions round, MedView helped Jeremy get #ACCEPTED into Oxford Medical School from Melbourne, Australia.

Every year only 9 to 11 places at the University of Oxford are offered to the overseas cohort, and this year one of them was awarded to Jeremy!

Jeremy studied the VCE curriculum and received an ATAR score of 99.95 putting him in the top 1% of ALL high school students in Australia. He sat the UCAT and scored 3420 which put him in the 100th percentile of test-takers AND went on to achieve a perfect BMAT score of 9 9 5A.

Dr Howshin Tsao

Medical Graduate, Auckland University Board Member, MedView

Dr Howshin Tsao graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) in 2018. He is currently practising medicine as a House Surgeon in Auckland's North Shore Hospital, New Zealand. He was recently awarded for his clinical practice at his hospital and is also involved in leading research to improve patient safety.

Dr Dexter Sim

Medical Graduate, King's College London

Dr Dexter Sim studied medicine at King's College, London and is currently working at hospitals in the National Health Service, England. He is the lead tutor and consultant for ISAT, UCAT and BMAT admission tests in the United Kingdom. Dexter crafts his own curriculum and hundreds of questions to teach new strategies and simplify complex concepts saving you marks and time.

Daniel D'Hotman

Medical Graduate, Monash University

Daniel graduated from Monash University with an MBBS (Hons) in 2018. After receiving an Australian Rhodes Scholarship, Daniel deferred his medical internship at the Royal Melbourne Hospital to commence a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Artificial Intelligence Policy at the University of Oxford.

Third-Year Medical Student, Adelaide Univeristy

She graduated from Glenunga International High School with an IB score of 43/45, an equivalent ATAR of 99.7, and attained a 96 percentile for the Undergraduate Medicine and Health Sciences Admission Test (UMAT).

Lucy

Fourth-Year Medical Student, Otago University

Lucy is a current Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery students at Otago Medical School. Lucy completed First Year Health Science with an A+ average GPA. She is a current tutor for MedView's First Year Health Science courses and workshops.

Liam

Fifth-Year Medical Student, Adelaide University

Liam completed his secondary education at Canberra Grammar School with an ATAR of 98.30 and a UMAT score in the 100th percentile, Liam was accepted into the University of Adelaide's MBBS program. He is now undertaking his fifth year of study with clinical placements at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

Patrick

Fourth-Year Medical Student, University of New South Wales

Patrick is a 3rd year medical student at UNSW who is an expert in UCAT and undergraduate Australian medical school admissions. He currently serves as a student representative to faculty and leads efforts to continually improve the quality of medical education delivered at UNSW. He can demystify the admissions process and provide clarity to students, backed up by his track-record of admissions success and detailed knowledge of medical school requirements.

Olivia

Fourth-Year Medical Student, Monash University

Olivia Lin is currently a third-year medical (BMedSci/MD) student at Monash University in Australia. She graduated in 2017 with an IB diploma from Auckland International College in New Zealand, as a Top Scholar and Prefect. She has extensive tutoring/mentoring experience and is passionate about helping students achieve their personal best. She was also a residential advisor at Monash University last year, and this year is involved with Operation Smile - Monash as secretary.

Brax

Director of Service, MedView

Braxton is the Director of Service at MedView. She makes sure all students are satisfied with their services and are progressing towards successful admission. Braxton studied the NCEA curriculum through high school in Auckland and went on to study in Dunedin for four years. Her diverse experience makes her the perfect MedView specialist for New Zealand Admissions.

Callum

Current Medical Student, Auckland University UCAT Product Manager, Medview

Callum is a current postgraduate medical student at Auckland University. Callum graduated from the University of Auckland with a Master's in Biomedical Science in 2018. After graduating top of his class with 9 first in-course awards, he knows what it takes to be successful at university. He has been working at MedView for over three years as an Education Coordinator and has helped advise over 200 students on their journey to medical school.

Kiri

Head of Academic Advising, MedView

Kiri has onboarded over 600 students on their pathway into medicine both in Australia and further afield. She has worked as a curriculum consultant and in the house for schools in Australia and the UK. Having studied in both the UK and Australia she enjoys nothing more than guiding MedView's students toward their goals.
